If you didn’t know, you may have thought that the van parked beside GLIDE was just another truck. Looking closer, you’d see that inside the van was the Tooth Travelers, a growing non-profit providing free dental services to many people with low- or no income. Through a partnership with Wells Fargo, the Tooth Travelers helped patients at GLIDE Health Services a few weeks ago.
With over 150 appointments, the dentists and assistants filled around 50 cavities, extracted close to 50 teeth, and provided many more cleanings. This free dental care is a much need service, especially for many people who have not seen a dentist in months or even years. Julie Day, the founder of Tooth Travelers, started the program after decades of experience in the dental business. She has a great zeal to provide quality dental service to those who greatly need it. Through an amazing collaboration between Wells Fargo and the staff of Tooth Travelers and GLIDE Health Services, many people left the van with happy smiles and healthy teeth!
