Behavioral Health Services

Our greatest wish is for all of our BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES patients to realize that their lives have value, and for them to feel empowered to take care of all aspects of their health. Many of our patients have been abused, stigmatized, and conditioned to believe that they are worthless. They deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

Our client population has an extraordinarily high proportion of mental health and substance abuse issues that must be addressed as part of primary care services. Through the development of behavioral health resources as a core component of services, we help patients address these issues as they emerge, rather than relying on referrals to outside agencies.

Drop in Hours:

Monday: 8:30am – 12:00pm
Wednesday: 8:30am – 12:00pm

We offer patients scheduled appointments during clinic hours,  but have learned that having open “drop-in” sessions with providers is one of the most effective ways to increase their access to care.  To better serve our clients we offer two weekly “drop-in” clinics, and accommodate clients presenting with urgent needs during regular clinic hours to the extent possible.

Our Team
Our services are provided by a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, and students from masters and doctorate-level degree programs. Behavioral health providers are available for warm handoffs from primary care providers so that these issues can be addressed in the course of a single visit, rather than having to ask clients to return at another time or to refer them to another provider.

"What is a free store? Its first principle is to give whatever can be obtained to those who will take. This means clothing, furniture, appliances, food. In a ghetto area where physical and emotional needs are critical, where American Opportunity is an outworn joke, where the ravages of racism are as real as the pavement, a free store means revolution." #FromTheArchives #ThisMonthInHistory #UnconditionalLove #GLIDEHistory #SFhistory #vintagephoto #throwbackthursday to #ColdWar-era GLIDE. #GLIDEforDisarmament #FromTheArchives #GLIDEHistory #disarmament #vintagephoto Today marks 72 years after the horrific bombing of #Nagasaki, Japan at the end of WWII. GLIDE remembers the thousands of innocent people who tragically perished in the initial atomic blast as well as the many more thousands who suffered the physical and psychological symptoms of radiation exposure for the rest of their lives: the mothers who lost their babies, the communities ravaged by increased rates of cancer, the elderly survivors who have developed new forms of leukemia and face great pain in their old age. .

We remember them. There are still a reported 15,000 nuclear weapons in the world today, but together, in community, we can continue to demand nuclear disarmament and a peaceful future for the generations to come. GLIDE envisions and fights for this future every day.
